IUCr Newsletter Vol. 27, No. 1 Now Available

The latest issue of the IUCr Newsletter, Volume 27, No. 1 is now available to readers at the website of the IUCr . This new issue has IUCr Journals news, including highlights of the 9th Conference on Aperiodic Crystals (Aperiodic 2018) held at Iowa State University (Ames, USA) in July 2018, an editorial by Sriram Subramaniam about the CryoEM revolution, Research news about resorcinarene-based cavitands, a Feature article  about quartz crystals by Shigeru Ohba and news from the IUCr and the crystallographic community, many meeting reports and upcoming events as well as articles about People & history, including obituaries of Aaron Klug, HÃ¥kon Hope, Tom Steitz and Joel Bernstein. IUCr 2023 in Melbourne

The 26th Congress & General Assembly of the International Union of Crystallography 2023 will be held in Melbourne, Australia.

During the general assembly of the International Union of Crystallography, Melbourne has won their bid for the 26th IUCr meeting in 2023. The venue will be the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), on the banks of the Yarra River. The proposed dates are 22-29 August 2023.
